The Mountaineers put together a dominant four-game performance in Branson, finishing the weekend a perfect 4-0 while outscoring their opponents 43-5 and recording three shutouts.

 

They opened the weekend with a 5-0 win over SW Iowa CC behind a stellar all-around effort. Maisie Wells led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in the third inning to spark the scoring. Faith Brazell added an RBI single in the same frame, and the Mountaineers capitalized on an error to build the lead. Kaylea Underwood was sharp in the circle, tossing a two-hit shutout. The defense was flawless, committing no errors, with Maison Sissney leading the way defensively.

 

The bats came alive in Game 2 as the Mountaineers powered past East Central MO 16-3 in five innings. Maison Sissney set the tone early with a three-run homer in the first inning and finished 3-for-3 on the day. The offense erupted for seven runs in the second inning, highlighted by doubles from Emily Mock, Lety Parga, Maisie Wells, and Jaxie Glasson. Parga drove in five runs from the eight spot in the lineup, while Wells, Glasson, and Sissney each collected three hits. The Mountaineers showed patience at the plate, drawing eight walks. Kalleigh Budd earned the win in the circle, and Madison Grogan provided relief as the defense remained error-free.

 

Game 3 saw more offensive firepower in a 14-2 run-rule victory over Missouri State West Plains. The Mountaineers scored in every inning, including a seven-run second fueled by RBI hits from Sissney, Wells, Josie Pollet, Dakota Hall, and Brazell. Six different players recorded multi-hit games, and six players drove in two runs apiece. Underwood delivered another dominant performance in the circle, allowing no runs over five innings while striking out four. The Mountaineers once again played clean defense without committing an error.

 

They closed out the weekend with an 8-0 shutout of State Fair CC in five innings. A five-run first inning set the tone, highlighted by doubles from Brazell and Riley Jerrell. Addi Brown added a solo home run in the third, and Glasson followed with a two-run homer in the fourth to extend the lead. Budd was outstanding in the circle, striking out nine over five shutout innings. Jerrell drove in three runs, while Glasson and Brown each recorded two hits.

 

Across four games, the Mountaineers combined timely hitting, power at the plate, dominant pitching, and flawless defense to secure an impressive weekend sweep. They will look to carry that momentum into Tuesday's road matchup at Rich Mountain.
